My Publications Related to the Book of Revelation and Eschatology

February 12, 2010

This will give you some idea of my writing background on Revelation and Eschatology.  In addition, while I was at Talbot School of Theology, I pioneered a new required course called “Expositional Methodology in Daniel and Revelation,” which covered not only the content of the books, but also how to preach/teach and apply them.  It was a wonderful stretching experience for seven years!

Book-Length:

(There is a  chapter in my dissertation on John’s theology of discipling, including how the Great Commission is completed in Revelation [i.e., at “the end of the age,” Matt. 28:20]), A New Testament Theology of Discipling (Published Ph.D. dissertation; University Microfilms, 1985; 245 pp.)

(The first half of this book is an in-depth exposition of Daniel 9), Looking Back, Moving On: Applying Biblical Principles of Freedom to Your Life (NavPress, 1993; 191 pp.)

(There is a chapter on Revelation), Disciplined Living: A New Testament Theology of Recovery and Discipleship, with Kathy McReynolds (Baker, 1996; 213 pp.)

(There is a chapter on 1,2,3 John and Revelation), Inspired Preaching: A Survey of Preaching in the New Testament, with Richard Wells (Ph.D. Baylor University; Ph.D., University of North Texas; Broadman & Holman, 2002; 226 pp.)
