“The Lord’s Blessing upon Fathers”

Psalm 127:1-5

The Big Idea– Every day is blessed for fathers who realize it’s useless to work or parent without the Lord.

The Big Picture: “The Songs of Ascent

Baffling Background: The strange case of Solomon and his son

(127:1-2) It’s worthless spiritually to do any life activity that does not honor the Lord.

(127:3-5) It’s a great spiritual reward for a father to have children as a godly heritage.

The Bottom Line:

–         Dads (and Moms), how are you viewing the labor of your wider life? (vv. 1-2)

–         How do you see your children? (v.3)

–         How well are you “aiming” them in regard to their lives? (vv. 4-5)
